The funeral for former Gov. Bruce King has been set for Saturday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at the Moriarty High School gymnasium, according to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.

Before the funeral, however, the King will lie in state at the State Capitol in Santa Fe on Friday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

King, 85, died Friday, Nov. 13 at his ranch in Stanley. He served three four-years terms as New Mexico's governor, first from 1971 to 1975. He was elected to the office again in 1978 and 1990.
